We're so sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting your blood pressure monitor to your phone. Thanks for your patience and we hope this article will help you get all set up! Let's start with the following steps:
Make sure Bluetooth and Location Services are on
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- A grid (or list) of different togglable preferences, such as Brightness, WiFi, Auto Rotate, etc.
- Please make sure both Bluetooth and Location (sometimes called "GPS") are turned on.
Please note: Hello Heart doesn't track your location, and the Location services are used only to strengthen the connection to the Bluetooth monitor.
Now let’s connect the monitor!
- Please open the Hello Heart app on your phone and log in with your email and password.
- You’ll be asked if you got your wireless blood pressure monitor. Click on “I got it, let’s connect it now!”
- On the bp monitor, push the start button for 3 seconds until the monitor screen says “PR” or you see flashing 00s on the monitor screen. The monitor and Hello Heart app on your Android phone should then connect, and you should get the following message:
- Follow instructions on your phone to check your blood pressure!
Important to know!
- The Hello Heart app needs to be open on your phone while measuring your blood pressure, for the reading to be sent to the app. Please make sure to open Hello Heart on your phone before you start measuring your blood pressure.
- If Bluetooth is turned off on your phone, you’ll see a message during the connection process, asking for permission. Please tap “Yes” and continue the connection process. If Bluetooth is already turned on, you won’t see this screen.
Please note: the Hello Heart app needs to be open on your phone while measuring your blood pressure, for the reading to be sent to the app. Please make sure to open Hello Heart on your phone before you start measuring your blood pressure.
