For our female users aged 18-50, we are happy to provide our Pregnancy Mode feature in the Hello Heart app. Pregnancy mode was created by Hello Heart to provide tools that support the management of hypertension in pregnancy.
If you would like to activate this feature in the app, please follow the steps below:
- Once you’re logged in, tap on the Profile icon at the top-right corner of the app.
- If you haven’t added your year of birth in the app (this is needed to activate this feature), continue to the instructions below. If you have, continue to step 3.
- Tap on the Pencil icon next to your initials at the top of the page, above your name.
- Then, tap on “Year of birth” to add it if it’s not already listed, then tap “Save” at the bottom of the page.
- Under the section Manage, tap on Settings.
- Toggle on the option for Pregnancy mode.
That’s it! The pregnancy-related features will soon change the app. Your blood pressure tracker will turn pink, and it stays pink until you turn off the feature.
To deactivate the pregnancy mode feature, please follow the steps below:
- Tap on the Profile icon at the top-right corner of the app.
- Under the section Manage, tap on Settings.
- Toggle off the option for Pregnancy mode.
- A confirmation screen will appear, select “Yes, turn off”.
That’s it! The pregnancy-related features will end in the app.
Please note: This program is not intended for women with preeclampsia. That’s because preeclampsia is a serious condition that requires close monitoring and specialized care with a high-risk obstetrician. Many of the actions the app suggests would not be appropriate for a woman with preeclampsia.
Preeclampsia involves more than high blood pressure, and its management often includes treatments and precautions that go beyond what Pregnancy Mode offers. Some of the app’s recommendations may not be appropriate for someone with preeclampsia.
