Why am I seeing an alert for age verification?

To comply with new online safety legislation across several U.S. states, major app stores (such as the Apple App Store and Google Play) are implementing new age verification requirements.

Our obligation is to verify age, through an app store’s data sharing methods, to confirm that the app user is an adult (18+). If the app store data does not confirm that a user is an adult, we are legally required to block access. Even if you are an adult, Hello Heart is not allowed by law to change, override, or bypass the age setting provided by Apple or Google. We do not have the ability to fix this on your behalf.

The only way to resolve this would be to verify your age directly within the Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings. To do so, please follow one of the options below:

Once your age has been verified, please close and reopen the Hello Heart app and try to login again.

What happens if I refuse to verify my age?

If you choose to skip the age verification in your app store, your experience will be restricted. You may be blocked from accessing content with an age rating of 18+ until completing the verification process. The app stores control the age information, and we must follow it exactly.
