To comply with new online safety legislation across several U.S. states, major app stores (such as the Apple App Store and Google Play) are implementing new age verification requirements.
If you see this alert in the Hello Heart app, you’ll need to accept and allow the permission request based on your operating system. Follow the steps below for your device.

- Continue to grant permission on the following screens to approve the app to access your age range.
- On the following screen, select “Share Age Range”.
- If you choose one of the options for “Maybe later” or “Don’t Share”, you will continue to be asked to share your age range to access the app.
- If you opted to not share your age range, you will continue to see the same screen until you do. Once you opt in, you will be able to access the app.
- If your account does not have your age set, you will see the following directions to add your date of birth to your Apple account.
- Also, if you’re sharing an account with a minor, and the age is saved as under 18 on an account, you may see this screen.
- If you see these alerts, you’ll need to verify your age in the Apple settings.
